I just joined the Grow Your Blog Party for 2015

Vicki at 2 Bags Full is once again hosting her amazing Grow Your Blog party and I am so excited to be participating this year. Last year I had an amazing time and met so many talented bloggers.

I am re-evaluating what I want to do here since I got sidetracked and lost my focus a bit. I am already working on fun this for the blog, things which get back to magical living, back to my fun and magical life, back to the artsy craftsy (and magical) things that I love and just back to the original intent of this blog.

I look forward to sharing with you in the months ahead! I hope you'll stop by on January 25th to see what fun things I have planned as well as what magical present I'll be giving away.

It's my 3rd Blogaversary!

Last year I missed it, seriously, I realized it a couple of weeks late and so I let it pass but this one, well, I didn't want to let it pass, I've been blogging on here - pretty regularly- for 3 years now and I am so blessed to have all of you in my life! I've met amazing people, participated in some fabulous parties and really have enjoyed my life in the blogging world.

Since I'm celebrating my 3rd Blogaversary there will be cake and presents. Why? Because I like cake and presents. Of course the party wouldn't be anywhere near as much fun without you, so everyone who stops by will be entered into a drawing to win a present. I'll be giving away 3 presents in honor of my 3rd full year of blogging. At least one of them will be a sculpted pumpkin head, Mortimer is letting me give away one of his friends to a lucky party goer. The other two prizes will be surprises and won't be posted until they are delivered to the luck party goers.

Greetings everyone,

The past two weeks have been a combination of illness and playing catch up. I thought I had it all together until my camera started acting up - that issue will be fixed tomorrow so my posts should be back to their regularly scheduled days by Friday! Fingers crossed :0)

This week's Witchy Green Wednesday post may be on Sunday. I am so excited to share with  you the natural,  homemade floor cleaners that I've been using that I really don't want to wait until next Wednesday!!

To make up for the extra delay I think I will have to have a give-away with that post.

Haunted Halloween Tea Party and a Give Away!

Welcome to my home, I am so glad you were able to stop by, it is such a lovely day for a Haunted Halloween Tea Party!

The beautiful colors of the season are in abundance here so I had to share but before you come inside make sure you check behind you, we don't want anything to follow you in!

The tea has been brewed, and...

The snacks are ready, so please sit for a spell and join me for tea. 

 I made these lovely cookies myself using this fabulous recipe I found on eHow.com

Best Soft Sugar Cookies

4 Cups Flour

1 Teaspoon Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg

2 Dashes of Cinnamon

1/4 Teaspoon Cream of Tarter

1 Cup Butter - Softened

1 1/2 Cups White Sugar

1 Egg

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

1/2 Cup Sour Cream

Frosting

Directions:

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and cream of tater in a bowl and set aside.

In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg, vanilla and sour cream, mix until blended. Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Wrap dough in plastic warp and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough to a 1/4 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the BOTTOM of the cookie starts to brown. Do not over bake or the cookies will crumble. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for 5 minutes then move to wire rack and cool completely.

These cookies are really yummy. They are soft yet held their shape well when baked. I hope y ou enjoy them while you are visiting today!

Mad Tea Party

Oh my, what an interesting surprise… a strange door just appeared in my yard and there seems to be something shining through the keyhole! What could this be? Curiouser and curiouser!  Come with me, let’s take a look and see what’s on the other side.

Quite intriguing, let’s take a closer look…

So lovely, that looks like vanilla orchid tea! My favorite. Please sit with me, let's have some tea, I'm sure if we ask nicely they'll share that tiny cake with us. It is so nice here under the trees, such a magical spot and to think I didn't even know it was here!

Those little bottles are glowing and they have something written on them...

Do we dare? What do you think? Let's just take one home and see how it tastes...well, maybe not!

Thanks for having tea with me. It was a fantastical summer afternoon, sipping tea under the locust trees, behind a door that really should't be here while we wait for the sun to go down so we can visit with the strange and fascinating creatures that created such a magical place for us today.

Since I started this blog late last year I have been welcomed to the online Pagan community in such a wonderful way. I have participate in blog parties, joined challenges and have tried to become a real member of this group.

I have been pretty darn lucky too, winning several prizes from blogs that I follow and participate in. So lucky that I really want to give back to the community that has welcomed me so warmly.

Above are two of the lace butterfly masks that I have made this past year. Both of these were worn and received lots of compliments. Check out my picture here to see the burgundy one on me.

I am giving away a custom Lace Butterfly mask and a surprise item (both) to 2 lucky winners! Each winner will be able to choose the color of mask they want from a selection of 300 colors!! Winners will be chosen on March 1st and the masks mailed by March 30th.
