Broomsticks on the Bayou Blog Party!

I just joined Frosted Petunias and Incipient Wings for their Broomsticks on the Bayou Blog Party scheduled for October 19th and 20th. How can anyone resist a New Orleans themed Halloween party! Since I am currently in the Voodoo doll creating mood and have a love for New Orleans already I just had to join in on the fun!

Check back for some sneak peaks as I get ready. Since we are hosting a Halloween party the next weekend I plan to go all out!

VooDoo Doll Pincushion Swap

I had such a great time with the zombie doll swaps that I HAD to join in on the fun in the Voodoo Doll Pincushion Swap. I love to sew and I do have the ancient tomato pincushion with the attached strawberry and while it serves its purpose, I really do need a pincushion with a little more style! I'll be posting some sneak peaks soon.

The Stitch Fiddler - Candy Corn Trio Give-A-Way!

I just visited a beautiful blog called The Stitch Fiddler! She is currently giving away the above trio of candy corn. When I first stopped by her blog I fell in love with her witches!! You really should check it out and while you there, enter the contest to win the candy corn! The contest runs till October 1. What a fun way to start the fall season.

Malice in Wonderland has Arrived

My zombie package arrived yesterday afternoon – as I was on my way out the door to go to dinner so I quickly ran inside and opened the box and found the most amazing Alice, I mean Malice in Wonderland! She is awesome and scary and I love her!

Not only did Malice arrive safely but she arrived with the coolest little birdhouse I have ever seen, complete with a base full of eyeballs! So, creepy, cool!

To round off this sweet package of zombie goodness are a set of 3 Halloween ornaments spelling out the word BOO.

Thank you Melinda, Malice is amazing and I just love everything you sent!

Zombies in Wonderland Update

I can't stand it anymore! I need to share a picture of the sweet (?) zombie I sent off to my partner. I just checked and he is out for delivery. So here he is. A Hatter in Zombieland

He stands right around 9 inches tall and is made from polymer clay. He is fully poseable and can be easily taken off his stand (actually he isn't on his stand in the box).

As you can see he's done quite a bit of damage in Wonderland, the Jabberwocky didn't fare too well but the Hatter has a great cane!

I hope his new mom loves him as much as I do! He was very hard for me to send off to his new home.

If you like swapping your creations you really should check out Yarnigras Swapper Spot, the next swap is a Voodoo Doll pin cushion - how can you resist?

I have one more project heading out this week, to the winner of my Mad Tea Party drawing, Kathy, I am super pleased with the final result of your gift. It will be heading to you on Monday morning due to my schedule this week but your gift is done and ready to head to it's new home. I'll send you the tracking # Monday morning! I think you'll be pleased!

Zombies in Wonderland - Sneak Peek

I never realized how much fun it was to create zombies. Last time I made a zombie doll it was the Zombie Red Riding Hood complete with basket of wolf parts; this time I am making a zombie character from Alice in Wonderland and I love it! I am just about done but I don’t want to show too much until my partner gets to see it.

Sculpting zombies is so freeing! I don’t have to worry about them being perfect which makes them so much fun. I am going to have to make one of these for me. It is just so darn cute, really, wait until I show you the finished zombie, once it is with its new mama.

Here are some progress pictures. I am just about done and I’ll be mailing it to its new home – sigh, I have grown very attached!

I know, I know, you really can't tell from these pictures how much has been done. I'll share soon!
